What Is a Consumption CT?
A consumption CT (Current Transformer) is a sensor device that measures how much electricity an electrical system is using in real time. It works by clamping around a power cable to detect the amount of current flowing through it — safely and accurately, without interrupting power.
In an Enphase Energy System, a consumption CT sends this data to the IQ Gateway or Envoy, allowing you to monitor total energy usage through the Enphase App.
