Product Overview

The FranklinWH aGate X (AGT-R1V2-US) is the centralized “smart” controller for the Franklin Home Power system (specifically the “aGate 1.3” revision). It connects your solar, grid, batteries, and generator into a unified microgrid, automatically detecting outages and seamlessly switching to backup power. You can monitor and manage your entire home energy ecosystem directly from the FranklinWH App.

• Avoid Panel Upgrades. 280A Busbar. A significant upgrade over the original V1 model, the aGate X (V2) features a 280 A busbar. This increased capacity often eliminates the need for a Main Panel Upgrade (MPU) when installing solar and batteries, saving homeowners thousands of dollars in installation costs while handling higher continuous loads.
• Microgrid Interconnect. Seamless Backup. The aGate X serves as a Micro-grid Interconnect Device (MID), capable of isolating your home from the grid in milliseconds during an outage. It creates a stable local grid for your solar and batteries to operate, ensuring critical appliances like refrigerators and routers stay powered without interruption.
• Universal Compatibility. Smart Control. This unit is “inverter agnostic,” meaning it works with any solar inverter brand (AC-coupled). It also supports optional Smart Circuits and Generator Modules (specifically V2 compatible), allowing you to integrate standby generators and intelligently shed non-essential loads during outages to extend battery runtime.
