Growatt SYN 200-XH-US-11A: whole-home backup without a generator port
The SYN 200-XH-US is the backup interface Growatt pairs with MIN TL-XH-US V3 inverters for whole-home backup. It sits between the utility, the inverter and the main panel. When the grid fails, it disconnects from the utility and the home runs from the inverter and battery. The SM-US-200 energy meter is built in.
The 11A differs from the SYN 200-XH-US-13A in one documented way: it has no generator connection. Growatt’s datasheet notes that generator connection is only available on the 13A. If you plan to add a generator, choose the SYN 200-XH-US-13A.

Compatibility and certification
- Inverters: Growatt MIN 3000–11400TL-XH-US V3. Growatt’s V2/V3 declaration states that V2 inverters work only with the ATS and V3 inverters only with SYN. Check the inverter version before ordering (Growatt identifies V3 by an “O” after the serial number or “M3” on the box).
- Batteries: per the same Growatt declaration, the V3 whole-home system uses APX HV or ARO batteries.
- Certification: Growatt publishes an Intertek listing for SYN 200-XH-US-11A/13A covering UL 1741, CSA C22.2 No. 107.1, UL 869A and CSA C22.2 No. 0.19. The datasheet lists FCC Part 15 Class B emissions.
