Hoymiles Microinverter Buying Guide
A plain-English guide to picking the right Hoymiles microinverter for your panels and goals.
Step 1 — Pick the line: HMS or HM-NT
CSE Solar USA carries two grid-tied microinverter lines. The HMS line is 1-in-1 (HMS-350-1T to HMS-500-1T). The HM-NT / HM-N line offers 1-in-1, 2-in-1, and 4-in-1 units (HM-300NT through HM-800NT, plus HM-1200NT and HM-1500N) — handy when you want one unit to serve several modules. See HMS vs HM-NT.
Step 2 — Match the microinverter to your modules
Choose the unit by how many modules it serves and their wattage; the number in the model is the peak AC output (e.g., HMS-500-1T = 500 W). Confirm module compatibility on the datasheet.
Step 3 — Add a DTU and monitoring
Add a DTU (DTU-Pro for HM, DTU-PRO-S for HMS) to unlock S-Miles Cloud module-level monitoring and to set the grid profile.
Step 4 — Buy genuine, with the 25-year warranty
