DOCAN ENERGY ZZ48600M 32kWh LiFePO4 Battery
The DOCAN ENERGY ZZ48600M is a large-capacity lithium iron phosphate energy storage battery from DOCAN’s ZZ-Series.
Designed around a nominal 51.2V battery architecture, the ZZ48600M provides approximately 32kWh-class energy storage in a self-contained vertical enclosure. It is intended for applications requiring substantially more stored energy than a conventional 15–16kWh residential battery while retaining a floor-standing, serviceable form factor.
The battery incorporates smart BMS management, active balancing, local touchscreen controls and wired and wireless communication capabilities.

LiFePO4 Energy Storage Architecture
The DOCAN ENERGY ZZ48600M uses lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery technology.
DOCAN’s ZZ-Series identifies the larger model with a multi-cell series/parallel configuration designed to provide the required 51.2V nominal system voltage and increased amp-hour capacity.
LiFePO4 chemistry is used throughout this DOCAN ENERGY ZZ48600M storage platform for stationary solar and backup applications.
51.2V System Voltage
The battery operates on a 51.2V nominal architecture, making it part of the common 48V-class low-voltage energy storage category.
DOCAN specifies:
- 51.2V nominal voltage
- CC-CV charging
- Constant-current discharge
- 58.4V charge cut-off voltage
- 40V discharge cut-off voltage
Final inverter settings should follow DOCAN’s applicable battery and inverter configuration requirements.
DAREN 200A Smart BMS
The ZZ-Series incorporates a DAREN 200A smart battery management system.
The BMS provides battery monitoring and protection while supporting communication with external system equipment.
DOCAN specifies up to:
- 200A maximum charge current
- 200A maximum discharge current
- 100A standard charge current
- 100A standard discharge current
The battery platform also incorporates active cell balancing.
Active Cell Balancing
Active balancing helps manage voltage differences among the individual LiFePO4 cells during battery operation.
The supplied 2026 catalog specifies an active balancing system for the ZZ-Series. DOCAN’s specifies a 2A active balancing system.
This feature supports more consistent cell behavior within a large-capacity energy storage pack.
Touchscreen and Remote Monitoring
The battery includes a 5-inch touchscreen for local system monitoring and configuration.
DOCAN also provides:
- RS485 communication
- CAN communication
- Wi-Fi connectivity
- Bluetooth connectivity
- App-based battery monitoring
The current generation of DOCAN’s related ZZ series additionally references RS232 communication, although the exact-model catalog should remain the controlling source for DOCAN ENERGY ZZ48600M specifications.
Inverter Communication
DOCAN’s current ZZ series is designed to communicate with a broad range of solar inverter ecosystems through supported CAN and RS485 protocols.
Manufacturer-listed communication ecosystems include brands such as Growatt, GoodWe, Solis, Sungrow, Sofar, SMA, Victron, LuxPower/EG4, Sol-Ark, Deye, Sunsynk, MUST, INVT, SRNE, Voltronic, MPP Solar, EPEVER, Solax and SAJ, among others.
Compatibility should be understood as communication-protocol support, not a guarantee that every inverter model or firmware version from each manufacturer will work without configuration.
Expandable Energy Storage
The DOCAN ENERGY ZZ48600M supports multi-unit parallel operation.
DOCAN’s current ZZ series support for up to 16 battery packs in parallel, providing a path for larger residential, commercial and off-grid storage systems.
Parallel system design should follow applicable DOCAN installation requirements and inverter limitations.

Floor-Standing Vertical Design
Unlike wall-mounted residential batteries, the ZZ48600M uses a large vertical floor-standing enclosure.
Integrated caster wheels make the enclosure easier to position during installation and servicing. The format is particularly useful for higher-capacity batteries where wall mounting would be impractical because of battery size and weight.

Operating Environment
The enclosure is specified as IP20, so the product should not be marketed as an outdoor-rated battery.
Installation should provide an appropriate indoor environment and adequate clearance according to applicable manufacturer instructions.
Cycle Life and Warranty
DOCAN’s supplied catalog specifies a long-cycle LiFePO4 design for the ZZ-Series and provides a 10-year warranty for the assembled battery.
Specific warranty conditions, exclusions and claim procedures remain subject to DOCAN ENERGY ZZ48600M applicable warranty terms.
