Two ways to build a RUiXU 48 V system

Both pathways use the RUiXU RX-12K hybrid inverter or another compatible 48 V inverter. Choose a wheeled Lithi2-16 wall battery or modular RX-LFP48100 rack batteries.

Lithi2-16 + RX-12K

Whole-home backup with the Lithi2-16

The RX-12K and Lithi2-16 are certified together as an energy storage system to UL 9540 (SGS; 1–4 inverters, 1–12 batteries). Each Lithi2-16 stores 16 kWh; the RX-12K delivers 11.4 kW at 240 V with an integrated 200 A transfer relay.

RX-LFP48100 rack batteries

Modular rack storage in a cabinet or on brackets

5.12 kWh 3U rack batteries (standard RX-LFP48100 or self-heating RX-LFP48100-H), certified to UL 1973. Install them in a RUiXU 6-slot or 10-slot cabinet, or stack them on RX-BRACKET bracket racks.

Both are 51.2 V lithium iron phosphate batteries. The Lithi2-16 is a single 16 kWh wheeled unit; the RX-LFP48100-H is a 5.12 kWh rack module you combine in cabinets or on brackets.

Where RUiXU fits

  • Whole-home backup

    The RX-12K's integrated 200 A transfer relay switches to battery power in an outage, delivering up to 11.4 kVA at 240 V with a 17.1 kVA 10-second surge. Each Lithi2-16 adds 16 kWh.

  • Solar plus storage

    Up to 17,100 W of PV on 4 MPPT inputs (600 V max DC). The RX-12K is certified to UL 1741 SB grid support and IEEE 1547 (Intertek ETL) and appears on the California Energy Commission inverter list.

  • Cold garages and unheated rooms

    The Lithi2-16 and the self-heating RX-LFP48100-H include a 480 W heater that turns on at 5 °C and off at 12 °C.

  • Capacity that grows

    Up to 32 Lithi2-16 or RX-LFP48100 batteries in parallel, and up to 4 RX-12K inverters in split-phase parallel.

RUiXU: frequently asked questions

Is the RUiXU RX-12K UL 1741 certified?
Yes. RUiXU publishes an Intertek ETL certificate of compliance (control no. 5026769) for the RX-12K to UL 1741:2021 3rd edition with Supplement SB (grid support), IEEE 1547:2018 / 1547.1:2020, CSA C22.2 No. 107.1 and CSA C22.2 No. 330. The RX-12K is also on the California Energy Commission grid-support inverter list.
Is the Lithi2-16 UL 9540 certified?
The Lithi2-16 is certified to UL 9540 as an energy storage system together with the RUiXU RX-12K inverter (SGS certificate SGSNA/25/SH/00248, 1–4 inverters with 1–12 batteries).
Which inverters work with RUiXU batteries?
RUiXU publishes a compatible-inverter declaration (June 2025) for the Lithi2-16, including the RUiXU RX-12K, Sol-Ark LV hybrid, Victron Multi/Quattro, EG4, Luxpower, Growatt LV, Deye LV, Solis LV, SMA Sunny Island, Schneider and Voltronic/MPP Solar models. The RX-LFP48100 communicates over CAN or RS485 with the inverter brands listed on its datasheet. CSE confirms compatibility and settings for your inverter before ordering.
What is the difference between RX-LFP48100 and RX-LFP48100-H?
Both are 51.2 V, 100 Ah (5.12 kWh) 3U rack batteries certified to UL 1973. The -H version adds a 480 W heater that turns on at 5 °C and off at 12 °C for cold installations.
