Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the Sol-Ark 12K, 15K and 18K?
All three are 48 V all-in-one hybrid inverters with three MPPTs and 120/240 V output. The 12K-2P-LL delivers 12 kW on-grid and 10 kW backup with 100 A pass-through; the 15K-2P delivers 15 kW on-grid and 12 kW backup; the 18K-2P delivers 18 kW on-grid and 18 kW backup. The 15K and 18K pass through 200 A.
Which batteries work with Sol-Ark residential inverters?
Sol-Ark residential inverters run 48 V lead-acid or lithium batteries and communicate with compatible lithium batteries over CANbus, RS485 or MODBUS RTU. Sol-Ark publishes an approved closed-loop battery integration list; ask CSE to confirm a specific battery.
Which batteries work with the Sol-Ark 30K and 60K?
They use high-voltage lithium batteries. The L3 HV-40 is designed for the 30K, the HV-60 for the 60K, and the outdoor HVR-60 works with either (the 60K pairing needs Sol-Ark transformer 192-00001 for the HVAC).
What warranty do Sol-Ark products carry?
Sol-Ark inverters carry a 10-year limited warranty (LCD screen and fans 5 years). L3 batteries carry a 10-year warranty with a throughput limit and require registration within 30 days. Coverage requires purchase through authorized channels.
Can Sol-Ark inverters run with a generator?
Yes. They have a dedicated generator port with integrated 2-wire automatic generator start.
